Peer Recovery Coach and Women’s Specialty Services Support Coordinator
Patsy Torres, CPRC, CCAR
Biography
I am a Certified Peer Recovery Coach for Outpatient services in Adrian and have been with MVA Behavioral Health Services since 2017. My sobriety date is 7/4/2014. As a recovery coach I am a compassionate person with firsthand experience of living in addiction and now living in recovery. I help guide individuals toward lasting change by helping them identify their triggers, create actions plans, develop healthy relationships, and develop habits that support long-term recovery. I assist clients to overcome obstacles and barriers to recovery, and help individuals cope with the changes that accompany the transition from addiction into recovery. I offer as much support as needed.
I am a team member of both the Lenawee County Sobriety Court and Recovery Court, which are specialty courts designed to help individuals who have substance related legal involvement. Everything that I do returns the best outcome for my own recovery. I live by this phrase “Don’t ever let someone’s inability to see your worth ever decrease your value.”
