Hi, my name is Jeremy Knepfler. I am a graduate of Jonesville Community Schools (Class of 2010) and earned my Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Baker College in 2020. Since 2012, I have worked in juvenile justice and youth services, supporting at-risk adolescents through detention services, educational support programs, and community-based initiatives.
I previously served as Director of Operations at the Hillsdale County Youth Home, where I oversaw facility operations, staff coordination, and program implementation. I also contributed to Hillsdale County Drug Court services, gaining experience working with individuals affected by substance use disorders and involvement in the legal system.
My professional work is complemented by a personal commitment to helping families and children. My passion for this work is rooted in personal experience, having grown up in an environment impacted by parental absence and instability. My wife and I became licensed foster parents and later adopted, experiences that strengthened my understanding of trauma, addiction, and family instability.
In 2025, I began pursuing my Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) credential to further expand my expertise in behavioral health and substance use treatment.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, hunting, coin collecting, and training dogs. These activities provide balance in my life and help me stay focused and energized while continuing to pursue meaningful work in my field.
