I have been employed with MVA Behavioral Health Services since 2023. I am a Lenawee County Native, and graduate of both Adrian College (B.A. in Religious Studies and Philosophy/Ethics) and Siena Heights University (M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling). Armed with this academic foundation, I approach therapy with several modalities. These include Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, Dialectic behavioral therapy, Strengths-Based therapy, Cognitive behavioral therapy, and Person-centered therapy. Using my education of spirituality, I am able to address how spirituality and religion impact one’s substance use or mental health and can address these in session if desired. I believe there is a transformative power within each of us that can be nurtured with compassion and resiliency. I work primarily in the outpatient setting, but also operate within residential settings facilitating groups and individual sessions. I am a member of the Lenawee County Recovery Court team, collaborating with community members to help these individuals thrive while also gaining experience within the court systems. In addition to my role as Clinical Therapist, I also serve as a Recovery Coach. This role allows me to support individuals on their journey to sobriety and wellness. My strengths of intelligence, non-judgment, humor, and compassion support my life’s role as a therapist.
Outside of my professional role, I find fulfillment exploring the outdoors with my partner. I’m a fan of 70s rock and roll, gardening, reading sci-fi, and will never turn down a “sweet treat”.
